As a Continuous improvement/(HPS – Henkel Production systems) and Digitalization manager, you will contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization journey at Henkel Adhesives technologies business unit ensuring the best-in-class continuous improvement methodologies, tools and digitalization and I4.0 program in our plant in Scheemda-The Netherlands. This hybrid role focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency while leading the plant’s digitalization efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and digital transformation.
YOUR ROLE
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize plant operations.
- Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on lean principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Prepare and present reports on improvement projects, highlighting achievements and future opportunities.
- Oversee the digital transformation initiatives within the plant, ensuring seamless integration of digital tools and technologies.
- Identify and evaluate emerging digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain digital dashboards and reporting systems to provide real-time data and insights.
- Collaborate with Henkel Dx/IT and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of digital solutions.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place and adhered to across all digital platforms and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to digital systems and automation equipment.
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the chemicals industry.
- Proven experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with digital transformation projects and the implementation of digital technologies in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the use of digital tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong change management skills that can persuade & lead with conviction
